There is a break in the rain

The rain has stopped for now and the fog has lifted. It’s nice to get out into the garden and the light is lovely on the bamboo. You can almost see it growing over three stories high – luckily not the invasive type. The magnolia looks gorgeous even when the flowers have finished and the salvia flowering outside the kitchen window makes for a cheery view no matter what the weather. The Japanese wind flowers were given to me by a very good friend met many years ago through our love of sewing. Lots of inspiration for quilts, embroidery and all things crafty. If it starts raining again I won’t mind going back inside!!

I apologize for getting off the fabric track but we have noticed over the years in the shop that lots of Quilters also love their gardens and as Chris and I are both in that category we thought you wouldn’t mind.
